"We had an amazing experience learning to surf in Poipu. David was our instructor and was truly fantastic. He was patient, knowledgable, and great at explaining what to do. I was really nervous, but he had me up in no time. We had tons of time in the water. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Mahalo!"

"This was the perfect class for my 13 yr old to learn to surf with no experience at all. He was up and riding waves by his second attempt! There were only 4 in the class, no young children allowed in the class so he received plenty of 1:1 instruction as did all the class members with equal distribution. This included feedback on his techniques that weren’t working for him for immediate correction on the next wave. I sat on the shore watching and felt completely comfortable with him out in the water with the instructor and wasn’t worried at all like I thought I would feel. His teacher was friendly, positive and helpful. I highly recommend this company and would do it again. Thanks Hoku Watersports!"

"Great fun doing the surf lesson! David really did a great job hitting on the key technique points, and was soooo patient with an old guy beginner from Wisconsin like myself! I managed to get up 3-4 times ... time for some more lessons!"

"They are GREAT! Surfing is a must do for everyone in Hawaii and here is the best place to get the basics with the amazing teacher David! He is patient and explains pretty well! Just do it!"
