"My daughter and husband took two surfing lessons with Hoku. First instructor was David, and he was an excellent teacher. They did a semi private with him and he was worth every penny. Both of them were able to stand up on the board and they liked the intermediate feedback. The second lesson at Hoku was with Kele. He was also a good instructor. Very nice and humorous. We tried another company at Sheraton Kauai Resort and the instruction was not as good. He really didn’t teach them anything, but it was also a very windy day. Overall, they preferred Hoku. Your experience really depends on the instructor, the weather, ocean conditions and your willingness to go have fun."

"Seriously the best experience. Kele was so encouraging and fun. I didn't have high hopes of ever actually getting up on the board but I did first try! And experience to be remembered. 10/10 would do again"

"Dave was my instructor and I could not recommend more. He was not easy on me (in a kind way) and genuinely wanted people to learn the sport. Great class, great experience, and amazing surfing"
